Jesus: Black ancestry?

Reader wants closer kinship with Christ

Were any of Jesus' ancestors black, possibly Nubian? I read that Tamar may have been Nubian. Was she or any of Christ's ancestors black? If so, it would be a great comfort to me.

I'm moved by your question and sympathetic to your need to feel a closer kinship with Christ.
