Biking bishop

James E. Hazelwood (center), bishop of the New England Synod, arrives at his Sept. 29 installation service at Trinity Lutheran Church, Worcester, Mass., on his motorcycle. He was escorted from St. Andrew Lutheran Church, Charlestown, R.I., where he served for 20 years, by several of the Lutheran Lizards. The Lizards, motorcycle enthusiasts from Rhode Island, began monthly rides together nearly 15 years ago. Hazelwood told the Worcester Telegram & Gazette: "I guess you can say that I'm probably not going to be your typical bishop."
