Leaders push boycott

Citing concerns about ethical treatment of workers, several U.S. church-related groups asked leaders and members to not patronize Hyatt hotels.

Religious protesters have claimed that the chain's subcontracting arrangements are exploitative and that housekeepers face a high rate of injuries.

Several theologians in the American Academy of Religion and the Society of Biblical Literature asked others to boycott the hotel chain.
