Yndestad exemplifies the esprit de corps that enabled members of Trinity Lutheran Church, Birchwood, Wis., to construct their own building in a matter of months for hundreds of thousands less than a contractor would have charged. Everybody did what they could: Yndestad baked treats for the workers.
