ELCA gathers in the Rockies

Assembly voting members will focus on ecumenical agreements, economic life, hunger and other issues

The ELCA Churchwide Assembly Aug. 16-22 in Denver faces major ecumenical decisions. The 1,039 voting members will vote on "Called to Common Mission," the full communion proposal with the Episcopal Church, and on "Following Our Shepherd to Full Communion," a document on full communion with the Moravian Church in America (see this issues' articles about this agreement and the history of the Moravian Church).
