In July, evangelical leader Frank Schaeffer and other Christians urged writers to stop doing business with an 80-year-old Christian publishing house connected to media mogul Rupert Murdoch.
Zondervan, the nation's largest Bible publisher, was bought by HarperCollins in 1988. HarperCollins, like Fox News and The Wall Street Journal, is owned by Murdoch's News Corp.
Zondervan spokeswoman Tara Powers told Christianity Today that there is no "ethical dilemma for Zondervan as we will continue to operate with autonomy as we always have."
