Linda Nansteel Lovell
Nansteel Lovell is a freelance writer living in Ellicott City, Md.
She and her husband, Allan, have two adult daughters, Meredith and Jocelyn. The photo is from Jocelyn's (second from left) voice recital in the spring of 2006. Linda is a graduate of Susquehanna University (an ELCA school in Selinsgrove, Pa.) and The Johns Hopkins University (Baltimore).
She began her career teaching high school English, composition and journalism. She hung up the chalk when her daughters arrived. She worked for a few years as a writer and editor of children's puzzle books. In 1986, she began working on a very part-time basis as a typist for what was then the Maryland Synod of the Lutheran Church in America.
In her spare time, Linda enjoys reading, crosswords, sudoku, writing children's stories and creating puzzles.
