Matthews is pastor of Grace Lutheran Church, Apple Valley, Minn., and police chaplain for Burnsville, Minn.He's also president of the International Bonhoeffer Society's English Language Section and the author of Anxious Souls Will Ask: the Christ-Centered Spirituality of Dietrich Bonhoeffer (Eerdmans, 2005).
