Jeremy Ott
I am the summer intern for The Lutheran. This fall I will be a senior at the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh. At Oshkosh I’m studying journalism with an emphasis on writing and editing, and I hope to graduate in May of next year. I’m from New Holstein, a small town in Wisconsin (roughly 1/807th of the population of Chicago) so being here is a bit out of my comfort zone, which I enjoy.
Working at The Lutheran is actually out of my comfort zone, too, since the bulk of my writing experience has been in sports. This summer will be the first time I’ve tried my hand at writing anything religion-related, but I’m looking forward to every minute of it.
During my time here I will be writing stories, copyediting and doing basically anything else asked of me. Hopefully you will find my name in the magazine a time or two within the next few months.
