Kevin’s first children’s book began as a letter to the children in his home congregation, St. Paul Lutheran, Pomaria, S.C.
He wrote to explain about the disabling, chronic illness that’s kept him housebound for the past three years.
Kevin made the letter rhyme and added pictures to help younger children pay attention. Much to his surprise, the letter had become a book.
Since then, he’s written more than 20 unpublished children’s books. Kevin is on medical leave from Newberry College, but plans to complete an English degree as soon as his health allows.
Meanwhile, he lives in rural South Carolina with his parents and his dog, Chipper. Kevin now is healthy enough to walk Chipper most days. During their walks, he thinks up new book ideas
