Edward H. Schroeder

Schroeder, a retired ELCA pastor, received his doctorate of theology from the University of Hamburg (Germany). He has been a professor and teacher of theology at Valparaiso [Ind.] University and Concordia Seminary and Christ Seminary-Seminex in St. Louis. From 1983 to 1993 he directed the Crossings Community, an ecumenical, international theological educational venture dedicated to “Christian ministry in daily life.” He has served the ELCA’s Global Mission Volunteers in four venues. He is a member of the American Society of Missiology, the International Association for Mission Studies, the Lutheran Society for Missiology, and the International Luther Research Congress.
